Brent's Fun Factory churns out hit after hit!
Coastal operators have been amongst the greatest beneficiaries of Brent Sales' focus on family fun in recent years. Not only does the company provide its customers with Triple A games from the world's leading manufacturers, but recent moves to increase in-house product development have created a new raft of equipment tailored for specific markets…in particular the British seaside sector.
With a constant supply of new games from parent company Namco Bandai Games and exclusive, groundbreaking titles from Raw Thrills, there's no denying that Brent's videogame credentials are second to none: Time Crisis 4 and Super Bikes, launched last summer, still top the income charts and continue to record significant orders, whilst the new Mario Kart Arcade GP2 is breaking records following release at this year's ATEI. Brent's non-video line-up is equally as strong, with perennial favourites from Namco Bandai, ICE, 5 Star Redemption, DSM, Fusence, Merkur and Universal Space covering a wide spectrum of disciplines including novelty/redemption, prize vending, pushers, cranes, compact sports, photo-imaging, skill games and kiddie rides. Some of the more recent successes include unique concepts such as Family Bowl 2, Jumpin' Jackpot, Raptor Captor and Pyramid Power, all of which are returning strong test figures from seaside locations. A growing area of importance for Brent is the range of games being developed in-house, often in conjunction with third-party specialists, expert in a particular field. The X-Factor Bright crane, Rollerball SWP and Froggit prize vendor are just three examples of own-brand equipment already released onto the market and Brent is currently busy with several new projects for release later this year. Mick Kennedy, Brent's head of sales for the UK and Ireland, sees a significant part of the company's future growth coming from coastal operations. He explained: "There are plenty of opportunities for us in the seaside sector. It's an area which has been very receptive to new ideas and has certainly shown increased trust in our broad range of family entertainment products over recent years." "From the feedback I have received, it would seem that prize vending, redemption and videogames are currently the hottest property along the coast and with our current portfolio, not to mention projects currently in the pipeline, Brent Sales is best positioned of any UK amusement machine company to service the needs of seaside operators." Meeting customer demand requires a knowledgeable sales force which maintains close contact throughout the year. Among Brent’s many marketing initiatives is its annual Truck-Stop Tour which, states Brent, 'brings the products to the people at key resorts throughout the British Isles'. 2007 will be no exception with Mick Kennedy, John Crompton and recently appointed Geoff Spencer touring the coastline with a selection of the company's key games. |
