Namco Europe lifts prize title at Preview

Following what the company is describing as a ‘hugely successful’ showing at London’s Preview exhibition, Namco Europe has broken new ground with its latest offerings in the skill-based prize genre.

Alongside the company’s range of new video drivers, novelty/redemption and photo-imaging equipment, the Brent Sales stand featured two innovative models which signalled a strong intent that 100 per cent skill-based novelty merchandising will play a strong part of the family amusement mix over the coming months.

Namco Bandai Games’ Clena-Flex, which features a flexible payout system differentiating it from any other crane/novelty vending product currently in the market, was demonstrated by a specialist prize development team flown in from Japan to highlight the game’s unique features. The UK version of Deal or No Deal, licensed from the highly popular TV quiz show, also made its presence felt at the Novotel. Whilst Brent Sales believe that this simple concept is a ‘must have’ for existing ticket redemption estates, the availability of a coupon option and deluxe and compact bar-style formats, gives operators opportunities to maximise income potential from a wide variety of locations.

Namco Europe’s sales team at Preview ’08 was also supported by the presence of Tetsuro Takeuchi, Managing Director of Namco Bandai Games global Amusement Machine division.
