Family amusements star for Brent

The demand for family oriented amusements products has never been more apparent, according to Brent Sales' product manager, John Brennan.

Speaking after the dust had settled on last week's Preview exhibition, Brennan commented: "Exhibitions are extremely useful in that they act as a snap shot of the business and if we see Preview as providing an accurate insight to the domestic industry, then the emphasis is most definitely on family amusements." He continued: "From what we gathered in detailed conversations with a cross-section of operators both on and off the stand, that trend and level of demand is likely to intensify through ATEI and the remainder of 2009."

With the order book matching pre-show sales forecasts, Brent reported demand right across their range which was presented in four distinct categories of prize redemption, video amusement, ticket redemption and kiddie rides. Brennan reflected: "It's certainly a difficult time for the business and whilst the response to this has been to invest across the range, our star performers were Clena-Flex, which was shown with a myriad of new merchandising and vending set-ups, and the hugely successful Barber Cut skill-based prize vendor, which is now available to purchase in a single player version."
