Brent's best variety performance at the coast

When it comes to putting on a show of strength across a variety of seaside amusement genres, there are few machine suppliers that can even come close to the rising tide of star performers from Brent Sales. The company boasts a powerhouse of headline acts in videogames, novelty/redemption and prize merchandising categories, together with innovative new concepts designed to further extend the amusement mix for operators.

New on Brent's cast list for 2009 is a trio of class video acts sporting ultra hi-res graphic animations on eye-catching big screens. Parent company, Bandai Namco Games' Razing Storm is a two-player shooter from the Time Crisis development team whose enhanced game play is rendered on a colossal 62-inch monitor, accompanied by stunning sound effects relayed through 5.1 channel DTS digital speakers. Bio-feedback gun controls add further player immersion whilst new Artificial Intelligence programming makes every game a unique experience.

Another new release, Nirin also gives an imposing performance using 42-inch LCD screens to get the best out of BNG's new ultra hi-res System ES1 graphics. This motorbike street racing simulator provides intuitive controls for novices as well as advanced banking and slipstreaming features designed to challenge more accomplished riders.

Unveiled to the world at January's ATEI, Raw Thrills' powerboat racing-themed H2Overdrive is the spiritual successor to Midway's Hydro Thunder. The cabinet design and finish are arguably the best ever seen on any arcade video piece whilst superb graphics and game play are realised through a crystal clear 42-inch high definition screen. H2Overdive is most certainly a prime candidate for linkable play.

As if Brent's unique arsenal of Triple A videogames weren't enough to tantalise the taste buds, the company also has the market cornered in novelty/redemption lines, spearheaded by a range of exciting new games from world-beating developer, ICE. The Price is Right, Big Win Super Spin and Free Fallin' - also available in a towering 'Max' format - are just three examples of inspired redemption masterpieces whose fully tested credentials demonstrate recession busting ROI opportunities and price tags that other marques are finding difficult to even come close to, let alone match.

Prize merchandising remains firmly on the agenda with two of the top performing games in the field, Barber Cut and Clena-Flex, maintaining a lead profile for both Brent and a growing number of operators across the country. The high levels of Clena-Flex's popularity amongst players have been sustained by continuous releases of machine set-ups and marketing strategies for different types, sizes and shapes of prize; 15 distinct combinations have been rolled out to date, with several more in the pipeline for the coming weeks and months.

Brent's Head of Sales, Mick Kennedy and his team spend most of their time out of the office and in the company of their customers, gaining unique insight into the latest developments and issues faced by operators at the sharp end. Their out-and-about presence will intensify within the next six weeks as Brent resumes its annual Truck Stop Tour of the British Isles, this year with a number of products previously unseen by the trade.
