H2Overdrive set to make a huge splash in Europe

H2Overdrive is earning a reputation with operators not only for being the most impressively designed game of the moment but most importantly – with earnings over 4.5 times the video game average – their most profitable.

First seen by buyers in an early prototype stage at ATEI 2009, the ensuing eight months has seen its gameplay enriched and cabinet totally redesigned resulting in the creation of a vibrant, compelling and highly profitable video centre piece.

Brent Sales/Namco Europe, which has the exclusive European distribution rights to the powerboat themed racing game, is confident that it is a real winner; the company's John Brennan explained: "Due to its stunning design H2Overdrive has wonderful visual appeal. The team at Raw Thrills has done a really good job totally redesigning the cabinet and giving it the WOW factor using strobe lighting and LED technology. In terms of play appeal I would say that they have added another 50 per cent to the game that was seen at ATEI eight months ago. It's more vibrant, it has more targets, a greater sensation of speed resulting in more repeat plays from both dedicated and casual players. The proof of all of this is in the cashbox which is a fantastic 350 per cent above the average on leading locations."

H2Overdrive is available as a single-, twin- or four-unit Superdeluxe.

Another new for 2009 product being distributed exclusively by Brent/Namco is PUTT! a unique take on the Crazy Golf phenomenon, available in a choice of either amusement only or ticket redemption format.

Making its European debut at October's London Preview Exhibition, PUTT! combines the straightforward and accessible theme of crazy golf with modern game design and technology. Using a real putter, the game provides a seamless transition from real ball to video ball.

Previewing the game, John Brennan said: "We are very excited by PUTT! It has a good family fun theme, with a competitive edge and it is being played by children, women, men, couples and groups. I think that the market of potential players is amongst the broadest an operator will experience, which is very positive and augurs well for the future.
