Ball's skills reign supreme in Brent 'keepie uppie' competition
Elliot Ball of Clacton Pier proved himself Britain's ultimate ball juggling Star Performer in Brent Sales' national coin-op keepie uppie competition. Flying the flag for East Coast amusements operators, Ball set an unbeatable total of 119 touches, fending off the challenges of his nearest rivals; Thomas of Glasgow's Sims Amusements (Scottish regional winner) who scored 72, and Gaiety's Frankie Bailey who achieved 65 touches.
Other regional winners, each of whom received a football shirt of their choice for their achievements, included the North-East's Kevin Raney (Rubicon, Seaton Carew), the South West's Ryan Davis (Enterprise Amusements, Paignton), James Parker (Parker Leisure, Rhyl) in the North-West and Wales and Marshall Hill (Funland Amusements, Hayling Island) on the South Coast. The nationwide competition was part of Brent's truck-stop coastal tour, which took in a total of 84 resorts over 49 days. Brent Sales' UK & Ireland Head of Sales, Mick Kennedy said: "The tour is a great way to meet up with customers on their own doorstep and this year's expedition was as successful as ever. The extra competitive edge added by our keepie uppie challenge was very well received by our customers and I would like to thank everyone who participated. We plan to develop a new challenge for our next tour which will foster even more fun and rivalry." Making its European debut at October's London Preview Exhibition, PUTT! combines the straightforward and accessible theme of crazy golf with modern game design and technology. Using a real putter, the game provides a seamless transition from real ball to video ball. |
