Buoyant Brent/Namco celebrates orders across the board
John Brennan, Commercial Director at Brent Sales/Namco Europe, was in buoyant mood following the market's enthusiastic response to the company's massive offering of games shown at the EAG show in London. Reflecting on the exhibition, he said: "We had more new products than ever before and received more support from customers than ever before across the full spectrum of Fun With Prize (FWP) games and Adrenalin Based Content (ABC)."
Brent/Namco's experiences at EAG, where it showed a cluster of AAA grade video, refuted the sometimes held view that the genre is in decline. In Tank! Tank! Tank!, Terminator Salvation and Deadstorm Pirates, Brent has what many people believe to be the three lead products of the year, an assertion which was not lost on EAG visitors. "The facts are that if you provide a great product at a fair price operators will purchase safe in the knowledge that their customers will play," explained Brennan. "Products talk and there's no room whatsoever for second best in the modern family amusements business." In the Fun With Prizes genre the company was in equally bullish mood having received very encouraging repeat orders for its market-leading prize vendor Barber Cut; undertaken the world launch of fast play redemption games Robin Hood and Rok N' Bloks from ICE. for whom it is exclusive UK and Ireland distributor; and showed a raft of popular AMUTEC kiddie rides. Clena-Flex saw the introduction of more new set-ups, including one for World Cup 2010, underlining faith in the product as John Brennan explained: "Clena-Flex has succeeded in defining how the industry sees prize vending. Nothing has preceded and nothing will supersede Clena-Flex. Our vision is to replace all of the repetitive and predictable prize vending products that are still being operated with the fresh, dynamic, inventive and versatile opportunities offered by Clena-Flex; to achieve this we will continue to offer set-ups that are stimulating for players and profitable for operators." Reviewing the inaugural EAG, Brennan said: "We went to the show with a degree of trepidation but we are very satisfied with what was a show of the industry for the industry. We hope that 2011 will emulate the successes of 2010." |
